Chatham HomeSchool has no trouble against Lee Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Life Camp, Chatham HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 19-4 margin over the Lee Christian Falcons.

Tyler Mitchell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also only allowed one walk). Mitchell was also stellar in the batter’s box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 5-for-5.

In other batting news, Jayden Seawell and Luke Coletta did most of the damage at the plate: Seawell went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and a double, while Coletta scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Woodward, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

On Lee Christian’s side, Kaydan Brower made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Wilson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

The win got Chatham HomeSchool back to even at 1-1. As for Lee Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Chatham HomeSchool will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Caldwell Academy at 6:00 p.m. Chatham HomeSchool has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Lee Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chatham Charter’s pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Lee Christian’s hitters will have their work cut out for them.
