Helias takes the win at home against Rock Bridge Monday | High School Sports

JEFFERSON CITY – The Helias Crusaders girls’ soccer team battled all night against the Rock Bridge Bruins, winning 2-1 Monday at home.  

Helias struck first with a goal from Jenna Roark off a corner kick and was up 1-0 going into halftime. 

In the second half, Helias struck again with another goal, this time from sophomore Reagan Schmitz, putting the Crusaders up 2-0.

However, Rock Bridge was awarded a penalty kick and sophomore Liz Peng took it and scored. 

Rock Bridge was not able to score anymore goals, and Helias took the win.

Helias will travel to Osage Tuesday for their next game, and Rock Bridge will be back in Jefferson City Wednesday to take on the Jeff City Jays.
