News-Miner opinion: An Anchorage Superior Court judge’s ruling has not just upset the education apple cart, it’s flipped it over and left a sticky mess for parents — and state lawmakers — to wade through.

At issue is state-funded homeschool allotments, or the state money given to families that homeschool their children. Allotments help cover the cost of activities, materials and books in the correspondence education world so homeschooled students have the comparable resources to their traditional school counterparts.
