Williamson County Public Library launches learning kits to help home schooling | Community

The Williamson County Public Library System has new learning kits designed to help home-schoolers.

The curated learning kits accommodate a wide range of ages and learning styles, and utilize books, worksheets, manipulatives, educational games, posters and activities.

The learning kits were funded in part by a Dollar General Youth Literacy Grant and aim to help aid the growing number of home-school students in Williamson County.

“Our goal is to provide families with resources they can use to enhance their children’s education, whether homeschool, public, or private,” Library director Jessica Jeffers said in a WCPL news release. “We want to support parents’ efforts to engage children in learning.”

The kits are available for checkout to adult library cardholders and can be borrowed for up to four weeks at a time. More information can be found online here.
